Activities

There are many varied activities taking place in our church throughout the week. Details of some of them are below. For more information please contact our Public Relations Officer.

World The One World Group plans, directs, educates and promotes the Church's activities concerned with charities, development and mission at home and abroad and for environmental matters.
Prayer Prayer and Bible Study Group meets on the first Monday of each month. See the Newsletters pages for this month's details. The evening starts with a prayer session followed by looking at various parts of scripture.
Play and Staying Monday Play 'n' Stay is open to all parents/carers of toddlers and meets from 9.00 am to 11.45 am each Monday morning. Café Monday is available for hot and cold snacks and drinks.
Slide Tiny Tots' Club is open to all parents of toddlers and meets on Thursday afternoons in the Sports Hall from 1.00 pm to 3.00 pm.
Girls' Brigade badge Girls' Brigade meets on Tuesday evenings and is open to girls aged from 4 to 18.
CHYPS CHYPS (Castle Hill Young Peoples) meets on Wednesday evenings between 6.30 pm and 7.30 pm. This young persons club is open to boys and girls aged from 7 to 11 and features many activities, projects, games and targets.
NYC NYC (New Youth Club) is for those aged 11 years and above meeting on Wednesday evenings between 7.45 pm and 9.30 pm.
Bible Sunday Club is held during Morning Service with two groups meeting. Trailblazers are for children aged below 9 years and Fury Group for those aged over 9. There is also a creche for younger children.
Crafts Holiday Club is run by volunteers for school aged children during a week of the Easter holidays. The week involves drama, Bible stories, crafts and games and the children are invited to morning worship on the following Sunday with their parents.
Theatre In-Between Club has a varied programme throughout the year including talks, theatre trips, concerts, outings, walks and holidays.
Boots Walkers and Talkers is a group of people from within our church who meet on alternate Tuesdays for exercise and a time of fellowship. The walks vary in length from three and a half to four and a half miles and all conclude with a pub lunch.
Bowls Short Mat Bowls meets on Monday and Wednesday afternoons for a friendly game and a chat over a cup of tea or coffee. They play in the local league and cup competitions.
Drama CHAPS (Castle Hill Amateur Players) perform a pantomime each February raising money for local charities as well as providing a wonderful evening's entertainment for us all.
German flag Mussbach Group organises fund raising events in connection with our twinship with a church in Mussbach, Germany which has been running for a number of years. Annual visits between the two congregations are organised for both family and youth groups.
Lunch Club Wednesday Lunch Club is run by volunteer cooks, servers and drivers and caters for about 28 elderly diners each week during school term times. A social hour is held once a month following lunch club.
Badminton Club Badminton Club meets on Monday evenings and is open to anyone aged 18 or over.
